Our Logo
Building an educational safety net together
The logo of the International Educational Guardian Association brings together educators (schools), parents who are still unfamiliar with the Korean language and culture, Korean society and its institutions that protect and support them, and international educational guardians who connect them all. Together they form an educational safety net that supports the growth of international minors.
The role of an international educational guardian
Guardians support international minors in adapting to daily life and in their studies, and manage every step of their life as students in Korea.
Overview
Helping international minors grow into healthy members of society
As Korea's school-age population declines, the number of international minors in secondary schools is expected to grow. This brings new diversity and new challenges, and the need for solutions grows every day, yet public awareness and support for these students remain very limited.
As the world becomes ever more connected, international exchange is more frequent and foreigners coming to Korea are getting younger, so the number of educationally vulnerable international minors keeps rising. Education experts came together to found this organization so that these students can grow into mature, healthy members of society in a country whose culture and language differ from their own.
