To help international minors choose their majors and apply to university, IEGA ran an application support program with its member universities. Because schedules, eligibility rules and required documents for the special admissions track for international students vary by university, admissions officers from member universities reviewed each student's application and supported them all the way through submission.
On Saturday, October 17, Kookmin University admissions officer Choi Bong visited the association on the weekend to hear about students' university plans and the difficulties they faced, and held one-on-one counseling. He explained the curriculum, career prospects and scholarships for each student's intended major, and reviewed their application forms and supporting documents together, pointing out errors and missing items to fix. Through the counseling, students gained a better understanding of their majors and completed their applications with the feedback applied.
IEGA shares the challenges students face in the admissions process with its member universities and helps solve them through the direct involvement of university staff. The association will continue to cooperate with universities so that international minors can understand each university's admissions process accurately and prepare their applications in line with their plans.
